Pickled Beets

 



* Ingredients:


  °10 pounds beets


  °2 cups vinegar


  °2 cups of sugar


  °2 cups of water


  °1 teaspoon salt


  °1 teaspoon pickled spice


  °2 teaspoons whole cloves


* Preparation:

Wash the beets and cook them until they are soft in the middle of the beets. Peel and then cut into pieces about 1 inch in diameter. Place the pieces in hot, sterilized marinade jars.


The second step


In a cauldron add vinegar, sugar, water and salt. In a piece of cheesecloth, add the pickling spices and whole cloves. Close the cloth so that the spices do not come out. Put in a vinegar cauldron. Boil for 5 minutes.


Step 3


Pour the liquid over the beets in a bowl.


Step 4


Close the pots and boil them for 10 minutes.
