Cherry Dr-pepper-cake-recipe

 



Cherry-Dr. Pepper Cake only takes 5 ingredients including a delicious-tasting frosting with the most amazing buttercream frosting !


* Ingredients :


° 1 box of chocolate cake mix, using dry mix only

° 1 1/2 C Dr Cherry Soda pepper

° 1 jar of maraschino cherries without stems (remove 24 cherries from the jar and set aside)

° 1 c creamy unsalted butter, soft

° 3 c icing sugar, plus 2 extra cups if needed

° 1 pack of chocolate chips (optional) (found in the Hobby Lobby)


* Directions :


Cake Instructions:

Preheat oven 350 degres F .

Spraying 9 13 baking plate with Pam baking spray & set apart 

Employ stand mixer, mix jointly the cake mix & soda to smooth

Cut the cherries in half and mix into the mixture

Pour the cake mixture into the baking dish

Bake in oven for 30 min Leave the cake to cool completely before decorating

Frost cherry directions:

Using a stand mixer, beat together the butter, icing sugar, and cherry juice until smooth and frothy

If the frosting is thin, add another cup of powdered sugar


Put the decorations on the cake and spread evenly using an angled spoon


Sprinkle chocolate chips over the garnish and add a few cherries

Put it in the fridge for an hour to let the tart freeze before slicing !
